Benik Afobe waiting on Wolves decision?

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly yet to decide whether they will sign Bournemouth forward Benik Afobe on a permanent deal this summer.

In January, Afobe was allowed to return to his former club on a loan deal, and the 25-year-old netted six goals from 16 appearances to help the West Midlands outfit to promotion to the Premier League.

In recent weeks, it has been suggested that Wolves taking up the option of a permanent deal was a foregone conclusion but according to The Mirror, the Midlands side are still considering their options.

The Championship winners are expected to spend ahead of their return to the top flight, but it remains to be seen whether owners Fosun International and head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will take up the £12m option in their agreement with the Cherries.

If Wolves do not move for Afobe, the frontman is still likely to attract interest from teams in the Premier League.
