Stale Solbakken worried by Wolverhampton Wanderers' mental weakness

Solbakken worried by Wolves' mental weakness

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has expressed concern over his team's lack of mental strength.

The West Midlands outfit took the lead against Nottingham Forest at Molineux this afternoon, but went on to lose 2-1.

Wolves have now failed to record a win in each of their last eight Championship matches and Solbakken admits that he is worried.

"After conceding the second goal we looked like a team that had not won for a while," he said.

"You could see that in the way that we passed the ball. Safe balls went wrong and many players made the wrong decision. That is often down to a lack of self-belief and that has to go before we play Millwall on Tuesday.

"We have not lacked it before but you could see it after we went 2-1 down. We have to work on that because if you are afraid of something you will never turn the corner."

Wolves currently sit 17th in the Championship table, 15 points behind league leaders Cardiff City.
