Stale Solbakken "relieved" to cling on against Leicester City

Solbakken "relieved" to cling on

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has admitted that he is "relieved" after his side managed to hold on for a 2-1 victory against Leicester City this afternoon.

Wolves were winning 2-0 before Paul Konchesky set up a nervy last 20 minutes with a thunderous shot from 30 yards.

However, Wolves clung on and Solbakken had words of caution for his players in the wake of the victory.

"You could see that it was a team that is not used to winning," he told Sky Sports News.

"All the good organisation and spells that we had in the first half we lost in the second half.

"They fought well, they blocked shots and they were brave in our penalty area and we are relieved that we got three points."

The result saw Wolves move up to 10th in the Championship.
