Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Nouha Dicko excited ahead of Aston Villa clash

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Nouha Dicko admits that he is excited about the prospect of featuring against Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Nouha Dicko has acknowledged that the weekend's derby clash with Aston Villa is a big game for the club.

The Black Country outfit have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Championship and head into the match with their West Midlands rivals five points adrift of the playoffs.

Dicko admits that he is hopeful of continuing his return to first-team action after a year out through injury but he says that only the final result is important as Wolves look to get back to winning ways.

The 24-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I'm really looking forward to it. The derby is always exciting and you can tell everyone is excited, the people in Wolverhampton and the Villa fans as well.

"I hope I can play my part but the most important thing is we get a win because it would mean so much to the team, to the fans and for the season as well."

Dicko made an appearance off the bench against Norwich City before the international break.
