Roger Johnson reportedly acted like a 'spoilt schoolboy' after being snubbed by new Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Terry Connor.
The Wolves captain was axed for Connor's first game in charge against Newcastle United.
Johnson was fined for turning up for training under the influence of alcohol and is said to have threatened to quit the club.
"The players are trying to get out of trouble and he is like a spoilt schoolboy," a source told The Sun.
Johnson has since apologised for his actions and will remain Wolves captain.
