Kenny Jackett hopeful of maintaining form in promotion bid

Kenny Jackett believes that Wolves can keep boosting their promotion bid after beating Cardiff City for a fourth win in five Championship games.

Kenny Jackett has insisted that Wolverhampton Wanderers are still targeting promotion from the Championship after recording a fourth win in their last five Championship games.

Bakary Sako's goal was enough to hand Wolves a 1-0 win over Cardiff City in the Welsh capital, and Jackett is still hopeful that his side can reach the top six by the end of the season.

"You can only look at your own form but we have goals and spirit in this team and those are things we can capitalise on," the Wolves boss told reporters.

"Your own performance level is everything and it is still there for us. It is possible to go on a run of eight or nine wins out of 10 and you have to believe we can do it.

"This run is coming at the right time for us and we want it to continue because it is giving us a very good opportunity. This is a big club, as Wolves we are always looking to be up there and we will keep going."

Wolves are now just two points outside the playoff places.
