Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm that midfielder Dave Edwards will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after suffering a tear in his hamstring.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Dave Edwards will be out of action for the Championship club for six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury.

The 26-year-old suffered the tear during his side's 4-1 win over Bristol City at the weekend.

"It is disappointing that he picked up a bad injury," manager Stale Solbakken told the club's official website.

"We don't have so many players with the experience that Dave has. In the last four or five games he has been up to a good standard in his performances."

Meanwhile, the former Premier League outfit currently sit 17th in the league table.
