Caretaker manager Terry Connor could reportedly be offered the Wolverhampton Wanderers job until the end of the season.
The 49-year-old served as Mick McCarthy's assistant before the Irishman was sacked earlier this month.
Owner Steve Morgan may now give Connor the responsibility of keeping the club in the Premier League, according to The Mirror.
Walter Smith emerged on Thursday as the latest coach to turn down the job at Molineux.
