Terry Connor in row with Melissa Johnson

Terry Connor has come under fire from the wife of Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Roger Johnson.

Johnson has not featured for Wolves since turning up for training worse for wear two weeks ago.

The defender was on the bench for Wolves' 5-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

Johnson's wife reacted angrily to this, tweeting: "Trying to understand why my hubby's on the bench #ridiculous".

Connor refused to be drawn on the matter, saying: "I don't tweet and she doesn't pick the team - so whatever."

Wolves are currently bottom of the Premier League with 22 points from 29 games.
