Report: Wolfsburg want Mario Mandzukic

Wolfsburg are reportedly interested in re-signing Atletico Madrid forward Mario Mandzukic in this summer's transfer window.

The 28-year-old swapped Bayern Munich for Atletico last summer and has netted 20 goals for the Spanish champions this season.

However, it is understood that the Croatian has fallen out with Atletico boss Diego Simeone, leading to speculation that the striker will be sold at the end of the season.

According to Kicker, Wolfsburg want to re-sign the powerful forward, who represented the Bundesliga club from 2010 to 2012.

Wolfsburg are currently enjoying a fine season in the Bundesliga, with 54 points from their 26 matches leaving them second – seven points clear of third-placed Borussia Monchengladbach.
