Report: Alexander Madlung heading for Fulham?

Wolfsburg defender Alexander Madlung is reportedly close to joining Premier League outfit Fulham.

The 24-year-old has fallen out of favour at Wolfsburg and is expected to depart in January, with his current contract up at the end of the season.

According to Sky Sports News, Fulham boss Martin Jol has tabled an offer for the German international and could land him for a nominal fee next month.

Madlung, who has made over 150 appearances for Wolfsburg, won the league with the German club in 2009.
