Julian Draxler scores twice for Schalke as they get the better of Wolfsburg 4-1 away from home in the Bundesliga.

Schalke have enhanced their chances of finishing in the top four in the Bundesliga this season with a comprehensive 4-1 away win against Wolfsburg.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar had the game's first chance in the fifth minute when he shot on goal from close range, but failed to get it past Diego Benaglio.

The home side could have gone ahead 10 minutes later when Simon Kjaer headed Diego's free kick against the Schalke crossbar.

Then on 33 minutes the Royal Blues made the breakthrough, Julian Draxler latching onto Marco Hoger's pass inside the Wolfsburg penalty area and shooting home with ease.

Draxler was unlucky not to double his tally five minutes from the half-time interval when he saw his right-footed shot from a narrow angle hit the post.

Wolfsburg restored parity just five minutes into the second half when Ivica Olic headed home Bas Dost's delivery from close range.

Schalke, though, regained their one-goal advantage on 63 minutes, Draxler finding the target for the second time in the match from outside the box.

Jefferson Farfan wrapped up the points for the visitors with 11 minutes remaining on the clock when he shot home from close range after being released by Draxler.

Huntelaar added the icing on the cake for Schalke with their fourth goal of the afternoon four minutes from time.
