Wigan handed Moses boost

Wigan Athletic have been boosted with the news that winger Victor Moses did not suffer a fractured jaw in Saturday's 2-1 win over Liverpool.

The 21-year-old was kicked in the face by Reds defender Martin Skrtel during the match, winning the penalty which Latics midfielder Shaun Maloney converted.

Moses was forced off at the break, but boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed that the Englishman should be available to face Stoke City at the weekend.

"The results came back really positive and there was no fracture, which allows us to treat him. We will see within the next few days whether he is available for selection on Saturday," Martinez told the club's official website.

Wigan currently sit 19th in the Premier League table.
