Wigan Athletic host Aston Villa in their final Premier League match before dropping to the Championship.

Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa meet to end the season in a game that was supposed to be a relegation decider in the Premier League.

However, Wigan's defeat at Arsenal in midweek has ensured that Roberto Martinez's side will be playing Championship football next season.

Villa are safe following a late run of form that has seen them take three wins from their last six games.

Jean Beausejour is not expected to be fit for the hosts, who have a number of long-term absentees including Maynor Figueroa, Ivan Ramis and now Callum McManaman.

For Villa, Christian Benteke is suspended for his sending-off against Chelsea while Matthew Lowton is pushing for a return.

Recent form

Wigan: LLDWLL

Villa: WDLWWL

Possible starting lineups

Wigan: Joel; Boyce, Scharner, Alcaraz, Espinoza; McArthur, McCarthy, Gomez; Di Santo, Kone, Maloney

Villa: Guzan; Lichaj, Vlaar, Baker, Bennett; Westwood, Delph, Sylla; Weimann, Bent, Agbonlahor

Sports Mole says: 2-1
