West Ham United bid for Nikica Jelavic

West Ham United have submitted a £7m offer for Glasgow Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic, according to BBC Scotland.

The English Championship leaders have been locked in discussions with Rangers over the last few weeks.

It now appears that the Hammers have firmed up their interest in the Croatian international by making a bid.

However, it is believed that Rangers manager Ally McCoist has placed a higher valuation on the 26-year-old.

Jelavic has scored 30 goals in 45 outings for the Gers.
