West Ham 'revive Salomon Rondon interest'

West Ham United have reportedly revived their interest in West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon after being knocked back in their pursuit of Celta Vigo's Maxi Gomez.

The Venezuelan forward was popular whilst on loan at Newcastle United in the 2018-19 season, scoring 12 goals on the way to winning the club's player of the year award.

The Mirror reports that the Hammers have already had a £10m-plus-players offer turned down by West Brom. The players involved in the deal were thought to be Jordan Hugill and Sam Byram.

West Ham are believed to be desperate to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle to Rondon's signature as they are now resigned to losing Marko Arnautovic to the Chinese Super League.

The Hammers have already signed Pablo Fornals from Villarreal this summer as Manuel Pellegrini seeks to improve his squad.
