West Ham consider move for Troy Deeney?

Watford forward Troy Deeney has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for West Ham United.

The Hammers have been left depleted due to injuries to a number of their attacking players, with Manuel Lanzini, Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll all facing a spell on the sidelines.

Manager David Moyes is likely to bring in a new forward before the end of the January transfer window, and the Scot has been linked with an approach for Liverpool frontman Daniel Sturridge.

However, given his alleged £25m price-tag - required during this month or at the end of the season - the East London outfit may look elsewhere and according to The Sun, Moyes could move for Deeney.

The future of the Hornets attacker remains up in the air, despite the 29-year-old potentially being given more playing time under new head coach Javi Gracia, who has replaced Marco Silva.

Deeney has scored just two goals in eight starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
