West Ham co-chairman hints at signing

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has suggested that the club may make a late signing in the January transfer window.

With less than an hour remaining in the window, Gold tweeted to say: "Don't go to bed."

Reports have linked the Hammers with a late move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor, although there has been no official interest in the player.

West Ham have not signed any players in the January window so far.
