Bournemouth reject West Ham United bid for Callum Wilson, Matt Ritchie

West Ham bid for Wilson, Ritchie rejected

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that the club have rejected a bid from West Ham United for Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie.

The Cherries boss revealed that the Hammers have made a formal approach for both players, but denied reports that the offer was £25m.

"We had a bid yesterday evening. Why it come in the day before our season has finished, I don't know," BBC News quotes him as saying.

"It was from West Ham but the bid was rejected and we have no intention to sell. We want to try to improve our squad, not weaken it."

Bournemouth concluded their Premier League campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United in their rearranged fixture on Tuesday evening.
