David Sullivan: 'West Ham United could sign three new players in January'

Sullivan: 'Hammers could sign three players'

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan has confirmed that the club will provide funds for David Moyes to spend during the January transfer window.

With the Hammers sitting in the Premier League relegation zone, Moyes has been linked with a number of new signings, with the Scot acknowledging that he may make an approach for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

West Ham have also been linked with another move for Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho, and Sullivan has acknowledged that new signings will be arriving at the London Stadium.

In the club's matchday programme ahead of the game with Arsenal, Sullivan said: "David is still weighing up the areas we are short in but you can be rest assured two or three players will be brought in to improve the team.

"Before then, we have players available again after injury, with more set to return soon, too, so there is competition for places."

West Ham could potentially move as high as 14th place with victory over the Gunners on Wednesday night.
