Report: West Ham United to announce Stephen Hendrie deal on Thursday

Hamilton Academical Stephen Hendrie will sign a pre-contract agreement with West Ham United on Thursday, according to reports.

Hamilton Academical defender Stephen Hendrie has reportedly moved a step closer to agreeing a move to West Ham United.

The Hammers have been repeatedly linked with a move for Hendrie in recent months, but terms have now been agreed with the 20-year-old, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, Hendrie will have a medical with West Ham on Thursday before signing his pre-contract agreement as he commits to joining Sam Allardyce's squad in the summer.

The report claims that Hamilton are likely to receive around £1m in compensation for the left-back, who has also been linked with Reading and Bournemouth this month.

Hendrie has made over 100 appearances for Hamilton since his debut in 2011.
