Report: Diego Poyet undergoing West Ham United medical

Diego Poyet has reportedly arranged to undergo a medical with West Ham United ahead of his proposed move to Upton Park.

The 19-year-old is believed to have turned down a new contract with Charlton Athletic in order to join the Premier League side.

Sky Sports News reports that the midfielder, who is the son of Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, is undergoing a medical this evening.

Poyet was named Charlton's Player of the Year last season despite not making his debut for the club until January.
