West Ham United interested in Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic?

Juventus striker attracting interest from Hammers?

West Ham United have reportedly identified Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic as a potential target during the January transfer window.

Mandzukic has been in impressive form for both Juve and national team Croatia with nine goals being scored in his last 12 outings, and that has attracted the attention of the Hammers.

According to The Sun, West Ham will make an offer in the region of £18m at the start of 2017 as they look to improve their forward line.

While the East London outfit have scored 13 goals in the Premier League, none of their forwards has found the back of the net, with Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri both struggling for form and Andy Carroll missing the majority of the season through injury.

Their bid to sign Mandzukic may be helped by boss Slaven Bilic having previously worked with the striker when he managed Croatia between 2006 and 2012.
