James Collins to have West Ham United medical today?

Aston Villa defender James Collins is reportedly having a medical at West Ham United ahead of a proposed move to Upton Park.

Reports emerged earlier claiming that a move to the former Championship side was close to completion for the 28-year-old.

It is believed that Collins has arrived at the London outfit to finalise a medical before sealing the transfer to his former club, according to Sky Sports News.

Sunderland were also reported as contenders for Collins's signature this summer.
