Chelsea to hijack West Ham's Song deal?

Chelsea are reportedly aiming to hijack Barcelona midfielder Alex Song's move to West Ham United.

The Hammers are hoping to land the Cameroon international on a free transfer by taking on his entire £70,000-a-week wages, but the Blues could be willing to pay a fee upfront to bring him to Stamford Bridge, according to The Telegraph.

Song, who spent last season on loan at West Ham, is said to be surplus to requirements at Barcelona.

Barca are believed to value Song - who is under contract with them until 2018 - at around the £5m mark.
