Former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has ruled out a return to the Premier League.
The 33-year-old moved to Shanghai Shenhua back in December 2011 and has been struggling to find form, scoring just two goals for the China outfit.
However, Anelka, who has been linked with a move to either West Ham United or Queens Park Rangers, has rejected speculation about a transfer back to England and claims that he will retire in China.
"I won't go back to the Premier League. If one day I leave Shenhua, it will be the day I retire," Anelka told Oriental Sports Daily.
"I will never go back, although I had a good time there. But now I'm in Shenhua and this is my own decision."
Anelka has played in England for Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers as well as the Blues.
