Andy Carroll confident West Ham United will not get relegated

Carroll: 'We won't be going down'

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has said that he is confident the team will avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

Since David Moyes became Slaven Bilic's successor, the Hammers have had an upturn in form, picking up 11 points in their last six matches.

Carroll scored for the first time since April 1 as he bagged two to secure a comeback 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night.

"I think we know the quality in our dressing room and we're confident that we will not be going down," the Daily Mail quotes the striker as saying.

"We'll be getting out of it. At the minute it is tough down there but we've still got the quality and the confidence in all the lads, coming in every day. We are on a decent run at the minute, so hopefully it continues."

As it stands, the Hammers sit 16th in the table, one point above the bottom three.
