West Ham United have appealed against Andy Carroll's recent red card against Swansea City.

The striker was sent off following a clash with Swansea defender Chico Flores during the Hammers' 2-0 win at Upton Park on Saturday.

West Ham now have 24 hours to gather their evidence and present it to the Football Association.

Manager Sam Allardyce claimed after the incident that Carroll was unlucky to have been shown a red card.
