West Ham United striker Andy Carroll will reportedly fly to Holland to seek specialist treatment on the heel injury that has threatened to ruin his season.

A recent report claimed that the England man would miss the entire campaign due to the injury.

However, Carroll will seek expert advice in the Netherlands to determine the exact extent of the damage to his foot, according to The Mirror.

The Hammers responded to the setback by swooping for Croatian striker Mladen Petric on a free transfer.
