Kevin Nolan says sorry to West Ham United fans

Kevin Nolan admits that West Ham United fans have a right to be negative, but calls on them to "stick" by the team.

West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan has apologised to the club's supporters in the wake of their 3-1 defeat away at Norwich City on Saturday evening.

That result meant that the Hammers have won just once since the opening day of the Premier League season - form which has seen them drop to 16th in the table.

Although Nolan has accepted that the fans are disappointed, he has urged them to "stick" with the players for the remainder of the campaign.

"We just need the fans to stick with us because they have been fantastic for us," he told reporters.

"We apologise for this result and I firmly believe we'll still be in the Premier League with them at the end of the season."

Next up for West Ham is a home clash against London rivals Chelsea after the international break.
