Ravel Morrison fined £7,000 by the FA

West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison has been fined £7,000 by the Football Association for comments made on his Twitter account.

The former Manchester United midfielder has also been warned as to his future conduct after he admitted a charge of using "abusive and/or insulting words including a reference to a person's sexual orientation".

Morrison tweeted: "Crack head ? Go suck out you little faggot your a guy that talks if u see me you try slap me I'm in manchester every week."

The 19-year-old claimed that he was responding to racial abuse received on the social networking site.

Morrison has yet to make his debut for West Ham.
