Mohamed Diame delighted by West Ham United return

West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame speaks of his delight after scoring on his return from injury against Norwich City on Tuesday.

West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame has expressed his delight after finding the net on his return from injury against Norwich City.

The 26-year-old, who had been suffering from a knee problem, came off the bench at Upton Park on Tuesday to score the Hammers' second goal during their 2-0 win in the Premier League.

"It was great for me," Diame told the club's official website. "I wanted to return well as I'd seen every game on TV and that the team were doing well. I was happy to be back in the team and I was determined to do my best for them.

"It's great for our confidence. If you want to win games you have to make sure you are strong in defence and not concede goals. If you don't concede you can't lose, so the team is doing well."

Tuesday's victory has seen West Ham climb up to 10th place in the Premier League table.
