Bilic: 'I was aware of players meeting'

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has confirmed that he was supportive of a meeting between members of his first-team squad.

Earlier on Tuesday, a report had claimed that captain Mark Noble had held discussions with the rest of the Hammers players, with the club currently sitting in 16th place in the Premier League table.

Bilic - who allegedly has two games to save his job at the London Stadium - has acknowledged that permission was granted after earlier holding his own talks with Noble.

The 49-year-old told reporters: "I know about the meeting the players had yesterday. I had a meeting with Mark Noble before that, a long meeting, then they had a meeting, which I think is very good. "The situation is serious and we have to play better and get points."

West Ham are next in action when they travel to Wembley Stadium to face Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup.
