Andy Carroll out for two months

West Ham United forward Andy Carroll has been ruled out for up to two months.

The 23-year-old, who scored his first Hammers goal in last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, was not selected for today's London derby with Chelsea because of a knee injury.

The club have now revealed that the problem is likely to keep the player on the sidelines for between six and eight weeks.

Carroll is at Upton Park on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
