West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has insisted that he is in no hurry to commit his future to the club with a new deal.
The former Bolton Wanderers boss, who is due to come to the end of his current contract next summer, has been expected to undergo discussions over a fresh deal following the Hammers' promotion to the Premier League on Saturday.
"I don't need the security of a contract to work in this game as far as I'm concerned," said Allardyce. "I'm my own man now. Somewhere down the line in the middle of next year, maybe, but not now."
The 57-year-old moved to the helm of Upton Park last year.
