West Brom line up Vydra loan move

West Bromwich Albion have made a move to sign Czech striker Matej Vydra on a season-long loan deal from Udinese, according to the player's agent.

The 21-year-old scored 20 goals during a loan spell at Watford last season and is also believed to be attracting interest from Norwich City, West Ham United, Swansea City and Sunderland.

His representative, Ondrej Chovanec, has admitted that a move to The Hawthorns, where he would link up with manager Steve Clarke, would appeal to his client.

"West Brom have made a bid and they interest Matej," the Birmingham Mail quotes Chovanec as saying. "He is focused on Udinese but West Brom are a club he would like to join.

"We have heard good things about Steve Clarke from other players. And West Brom are clearly a club going places."

Vydra has won seven caps for the Czech Republic.
