Tony Pulis: 'No contract talks with West Bromwich Albion yet'

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis says that he is yet to speak to the club about a new deal, despite reports that he will be offered an extension.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has insisted that he has not yet spoken to the club about a new contract.

Reports emerged on Thursday claiming that the Premier League club are planning to offer him an extension to his current deal.

Pulis's £2m-a-year contract expires in the summer of 2017, but the 58-year-old has played down any reports of an agreement by claiming that he will not discuss his future with chairman Jeremy Peace until the campaign comes to a close.

"Let me speak to Jeremy," the Express & Star quotes Pulis as saying. "I think the most important thing is we try to finish the season as well and as strong as we possibly can and then I'll sit down with Jeremy.

"I've still got a year left so there's no rush. At the end of the season I'll sit down with Jeremy and we'll talk. We'll talk about the season and we'll talk about the future, that's what I've done for years now.

"There's been no discussions about contracts or anything [yet]."

Pulis joined the Baggies in January last year.
