Pulis: 'West Brom need quality over quantity'

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has suggested that there will not be an influx of new players at The Hawthorns.

Like neighbours Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Baggies now have Chinese owners, but unlike the Championship outfit who have signed over a dozen new players Pulis has indicated that he intends to focus on quality over quantity during the next few transfer windows.

The 58-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I think we do need to bring players in and we do need to change one or two things, but that will be over a period of time.

"[The owner] is very keen to stress that he does not want to throw money down the drain. The players that we bring in have to be better than what we have got and they have to be of a quality to improve the team. So he understands."

West Brom currently sit in 16th position in the Premier League table.
