West Brom will be determined to return to winning ways on Tuesday, but Blackpool have only been beaten in six of their 18 league matches this term and are a team to be taken seriously at this level of football. Coventry vs. Birmingham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

High-flying Coventry City will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship when they welcome Birmingham City on Tuesday night.

Coventry are currently fifth in the Championship table, just one point behind third-placed West Bromwich Albion, while Birmingham sit 15th with 22 points to show from their opening 18 matches of the season.

We say: Coventry City 2-1 Birmingham City

Coventry have not beaten Birmingham in the league since February 2009, but we are expecting that run to end in this match. Robins's side have only lost one of their last five in the Championship and should have just about enough to overcome their 15th-placed opponents on Tuesday night.

Middlesbrough play host to Preston North End on Tuesday night looking for the victory which could move them back into the top half of the Championship standings.

However, should 16th-placed Preston prevail at the Riverside Stadium, they will progress a point ahead of their North-East hosts.

We say: Middlesbrough 2-1 Preston North End

With neither team being in great form, they will both be eager to use this game as the catalyst for greater things to come. While Preston still have the win at Bournemouth fresh in their memory, we expect Boro to edge this contest by the odd goal in three.

Nottingham Forest and Luton Town square off in the Championship on Tuesday evening looking for the victory which should take them into the top 10 of the standings.

Both teams have found victories in short supply, however, and the pressure has increased ahead of trying to keep in close proximity to the playoffs.

With Luton having dropped off in the final third, we can only back a Forest win. Although Cooper's side have also lost their way to a certain degree, they have been able to bounce back in front of their own supporters in the past.

Sheffield United will look to put an end to a four-game league winless run on Tuesday, when they travel south to take on Reading.

The Blades remain 17th in the Championship table after a draw with Coventry City on Saturday, while their hosts were involved in a share of the spoils with Nottingham Forest at home at the weekend.

Given the form of the two sides, we cannot quite pick a winner on Tuesday and instead expect a second straight draw for each team.

The Blades should be somewhat positive after a solid home showing on Saturday but have struggled to consistently put sides to the sword this term, and we see them leaving with a point.

While the Cottagers sit nine points clear in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League, the Rams are 15 points of safety at the other end of the standings.

Having stunned Bournemouth at the weekend, Derby have alleviated a certain degree of pressure ahead of this contest. However, despite being able to play with a greater sense of freedom, it would come as a surprise if Fulham do not cruise to victory in West London.

At a time when the Tykes are four points adrift of safety in the Championship, the visitors occupy 12th position in the table.
