Aron Johannsson completes Werder Bremen switch

Werder Bremen have confirmed the signing of USA international striker Aron Johannsson from AZ on a four-year deal.

The 24-year-old, who has joined the Bundesliga club for around £3.5m, scored 38 goals in 84 games for AZ after moving to the Dutch side from AGF Aarhus in 2013.

"It's the right step for me to continue my development," he told Werder's official website. "Werder Bremen is a big club, and I'll give everything I have to develop further as a player and to contribute to the team's success."

Johannsson has scored four goals in 17 appearances for the USA national team.
