Walsall midfielder Romaine Sawyers has suggested that his side could shock Premier League champions Chelsea in their League Cup clash on Wednesday evening.
The Saddlers - who currently sit second in the League One table - have won seven matches in all competitions so far this season, and 23-year-old Sawyers believes that his side have the quality to cause an upset tomorrow night.
"All the players are inspired by the occasion and we are determined to make our mark. We can show our excitement now," Sawyers told the Express & Star.
"We have had a lot of league games since the draw but we are really looking forward to it. This is a big opportunity for us. They are the English champions but we have great belief.
"It's the chance to make history and we believe we can match them."
Sawyers, who joined Walsall in 2013, has scored five goals in 11 matches this season.
