Wales climb to highest-ever FIFA ranking

Wales move up one place to 21st in the latest FIFA rankings, while England, Scotland and Northern Ireland remain in 14th, 29th and 42nd respectively.

Wales have continued their rise up the FIFA rankings by climbing up to 21st in the latest standings.

Chris Coleman's side, who were ranked as low as 116th in 2011, have moved up to their highest ever spot, despite not playing a game since their 3-0 victory away at Israel in March.

Defeat for Mexico in their friendly match against the USA was enough for the Dragons to climb up one spot, while fellow home nations remain the same - England in 14th place, Scotland 29th and Northern Ireland 42nd.

Elsewhere, there is no movement inside the top 10, meaning that world champions Germany remain top, ahead of Argentina and Belgium in second and third place respectively.
