Wales boss Chris Coleman wary of "wounded" Netherlands

Wales boss Chris Coleman warns his players to beware a "dangerous" Netherlands side when they face off in Cardiff on Friday evening.

Chris Coleman has suggested that his Wales players will face a "wounded" Netherlands side out for redemption on Friday night.

The Oranje failed to qualify for next summer's European Championships after finishing fourth in their qualifying group.

A poor campaign for the Dutch came to a conclusion last month when falling to a 3-2 defeat at home to the Czech Republic, but Coleman is expecting a tough test at the Cardiff City Stadium.

"The fact they haven't qualified means they're a wounded animal and a dangerous one at that," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"We'll have 25,000 or 30,000 Welsh people on Friday night who won't be expecting our boys to take it easy and have a rest. They'll come to see us perform for Wales."

Friday evening's friendly match in South Wales will be the Dragons' first since they wrapped up their successful qualifying campaign against Andorra in October.
