Gareth Bale unfazed by Wales pressure

Gareth Bale says that he is unfazed by the pressure that comes with an £85m price tag ahead of Wales's Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Wales ace Gareth Bale has insisted that he does not carry the weight of being the world's most expensive footballer into international duty.

He usurped Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo after commanding a world-record £85m transfer fee from Tottenham Hotspur last September.

The 25-year-old heads into Euro 2016 qualifiers with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Cyprus as his country's go-to-guy following injuries to Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen, but Bale insists that he feels no pressure to deliver.

"I don't feel under any more pressure. I want to go out and do the best for my country. That's all I can do," he told BBC Sport.

"These are massive games for us but firstly we must concentrate on Friday's game [against Bosnia] and not think of anything else, not even the next game.

"We just need to focus on that and hopefully get the win. It's a big blow [losing Ramsey and Allen] as they are two fantastic players."

Bale scored twice as Wales got their qualification campaign underway with a 2-1 win away to Andorra last month.

With both encounters in Cardiff, Chris Coleman's side host Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday before welcoming Cyprus to the Welsh capital three days later.
