Real Madrid's Gareth Bale to start as striker for Wales in Andorra?

Bale to play up front for Wales?

Wales manager Chris Coleman has revealed that his star player Gareth Bale could start as the lead striker in tomorrow's opening Euro 2016 qualifier against Group B minnows Andorra.

Normally played on the right wing for his club Real Madrid, Bale's quality could lead to Coleman using him as the main frontman against an Andorra side that Wales are expected to beat.

"I've seen Gareth play everywhere. He can play anywhere really," BBC Sport quotes Coleman as saying.

"We've lost Sam Vokes (to injury) and we've really only got Simon Church as an out-and-out striker, and he's not playing regularly for Charlton.

"[Bale] will figure in this campaign in a number of positions."

It has been reported recently that Bale, who began his career as a left-back with Southampton, could feature in central midfield for Madrid this season after the departure of Angel Di Maria to Manchester United.
