Report: Clubs circle Luciano Vietto

A clutch of European clubs are said to be preparing summer bids for Villarreal's highly-rated forward Luciano Vietto.

The 21-year-old joined the Yellow Submarine from Racing Club last summer and has been one of the standout players in La Liga this term – hitting 11 goals in the league and 18 in all competitions.

A number of clubs are said to be interested in the Argentine, but according to The Metro, Liverpool have made first contact over a move.

The Reds are expected to face serious competition for the striker, however, with Real Madrid also believed to be monitoring developments.

Vietto is currently contracted to Villarreal until 2019.
