Report: Spurs to activate Soldado's release clause

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to activate Valencia striker Roberto Soldado's release clause this summer.

The Spaniard, who has been widely linked with a move to White Hart Lane, scored 24 league goals in 34 games for the Spanish outfit last season.

The 28-year-old has a release clause of £25m inserted in his contract, a figure that Spurs are prepared to activate, according to AS.

Soldado has also scored six goals in 11 games for Spain.
