Report: Pablo Piatti injury ends exit talk

A report claims that a hamstring injury has ended Pablo Piatti's hopes of leaving Valencia before the end of the transfer window.

A hamstring injury to Pablo Piatti has reportedly ended his chances of leaving Valencia before the end of the summer transfer window.

It had been suggested that Getafe were close to signing the 24-year-old this afternoon, but his current club have confirmed that the Argentine will be out of action for six weeks with a hamstring strain to his left leg.

A number of Premier League clubs had also been credited with an interest in the winger, but according to Football Espana, Piatti will now remain at the Mestalla until January, when he will again seek to leave.

It is believed that Piatti suffered the injury in training at the weekend.
