Report: Everton join Banega race

Everton have reportedly joined the race to sign Ever Banega during this summer's transfer window.

The Argentina international is believed to be keen to leave Valencia after struggling for a regular place in the starting lineup before being sent out on loan to Newell's Old Boys last season.

According to The Express, the Toffees are hoping that their progress in the Premier League last season will tempt the midfielder to join them instead of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who have also been linked with the player.

The 25-year-old joined Valencia from Boca Juniors in 2008.
