Dani Parejo excited for Valencia future

Valencia captain Dani Parejo believes that the club are moving firmly in the right direction.

Valencia captain Dani Parejo has revealed that he is excited with where the Spanish club are going.

Los Che had a summer of uncertainty due to Peter Lim's drawn-out takeover of the club, but the Singaporean businessman has now officially taken control.

It is understood that Lim will make funds available for the January transfer window, and Parejo believes that the future is bright at the Mestalla.

"It's true the players have been through a tough time and it wasn't easy to ignore all the fuss that was going on around us," Parejo told AS.

"We all have our own personal issues, such as contract renewals and offers from other clubs, and there were times when we wondered what would happen to Valencia.

"Now we know there is an ambitious project in progress and the foundations are being laid so we can go on and compete at the next level."

Valencia last won the Spanish league in 2004.
